Hi, I’m Dana Obleman…
I’m the author of Kids: The Manual, and over the past 12 years I’ve helped more than 57,000 parents like you solve their biggest parenting challenges. I’m probably best-known as the creator of “The Sleep Sense Program,” which is the Internet’s #1 best-selling resource for solving children’s sleeping problems, “The Food Sense Program,” a step-by-step guide for the parents of picky eaters, “No-Sweat Potty Training“, a guide to getting your child potty trained quickly, and “Solve Your Sleep” a resource for adults with sleep challenges.
Since this page is ‘about me,’ I should mention that I received degrees in both Psychology and Education back in the late 1990’s, and then spent a few wonderful years as a First Grade teacher before getting pregnant with the first of my three children. I started researching and writing my first book, “The Sleep Sense Program,” during my maternity leave – and my career has been dedicated to helping other parents ever since!
I’ve had the good fortune to be featured in newspaper articles, heard on radio broadcasts, invited to speak at parenting shows, presented a lecture to one of the country’s largest medical schools… and I’ve even been approached to host a reality TV show! But my REAL passion is helping parents directly by creating easy-to-follow, practical solutions that have proven to work in the “real world.”
When I’m not working, I’m usually hanging out with friends and family, cooking (or eating) a good meal, driving someone to soccer or ballet, going for a run, planning a trip, or just plain old relaxing. (Favorite guilty pleasure: Popcorn with cheddar cheese on top and American Idol on the TV.)
I live on the West Coast of Florida with my husband and children.
